When Do Domestic Rabbits Leave the Nest?
There are several signs that indicate that your domestic rabbit is ready to leave its nest: It may be missing one or more of its babies, strings/twigs that have fallen out, or even blood. The baby rabbits will stay with the mother for about 8 weeks, during which they nurse only a few times a day. The mother usually leaves the nest alone, but comes back to feed the baby rabbits regularly.
